"The networking of all hospitals in Trinidad and Tobago" - is one of the largest IT projects in this Caribbean nation. VEPRO AG has now won the bid.

The aim is to introduce the "Web-based electronic patient record" on the basis of VEPRO EMR systems (PACS), VIS (workflow and reporting system) and VHP (VEPRO Cloud).

The VEPRO IT Healthcare solution with centralized web-based patient records will give the oportunity to give patient data for further use to departements and other hospitals in a very short time. Any kind of image and film data are collected and stored. Diagnoses and findings can therefore be created quickly. Teleradiology and telemedicine ensure a fast and efficient treatment. With this VEPRO solution, the communication between hospitals and doctors will be ensured.

One of the key speakers of the "Efficient Healthcare / Innovation-Based Development Conference” was Harald G. Roth, CEO and founder of the VEPRO AG Germany. This conference, which took place on 30.10.2012 in Moscow, was organized to find new solutions and methods for developing the Russian health care system.

Organizers of this excellent visited conference were the Russian Presidential Academy and the Administration of the President of the Russian Republic.

The importance of this conference for the Russian health care system was characterized and underlined by the presence of two Russian ministers, Olga Y. Golodets (Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Mayor of Moscow [health and education]) and Veronika I. Skvortsova (Minister of Health of the Russian Federation). Sergei Kovalev (First Deputy Head of the Business Administration of the President of the Russian Federation) moderated and led the superbly-attended event.

High on the agenda was the search for the best solutions (best practices) to correct problems in the Russian health care system. In particular, the international experience of the providers but also the efficiency of feasible models, moved to the forefront. Russia's goal is to drive forward the quality of social services as well as the efficient use of budget by using new models and innovative management technologies.

Using a PowerPoint presentation, showing some practical examples and giving information about the development of new VEPRO Technologies, Harald G. Roth gave information and answers to the general topic of „European Experience in Health Care Information. Key Mistakes at the National Level and as Exemplified by Separate Medical and Preventive Treatment Institutions“.

For the listeners (ministry officials, health ministers of various Russian republics, IT decision makers, managers and directors of clinics, etc.), this event was one of the main sources of information that was used gladly and with great attention

The long wait for x-rays and MRI reports ends today.

First PACS for the Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital.

Previously patients had to wait for hours or days to get the reports of diagnostic examination. Only then it was possible to define the next steps for further treatment with the doctors.

With the installation of VEPRO PACS, which was inaugurated on 12th of October 2012 by Mr. N. Rangasamy, chief minister of Pondicherry territory (southeast India) a new and forward-looking step for this hospital, the patients and the healthcare system overall India has been successfully done.

The newly installed PACS stores all types of radiological images, such as ultrasound, CT and MRT scans, including X-ray images of the patients on a 17 TerraByte big server, great enough to serve the patients data for many years and to output them in seconds.

In addition to the special quality of this documentation system for faster problem resolution there is of course an economic aspect too. The loss of film material or eliminating expensive document archiving is a relevant cost saving part for a hospital.

K.V. Raman, Director, Health & Family Welfare Services and K. Nandakumar, Medical Superintendent of the Indira Gandhi General Hospital said “the digital system was considered as a boon to the patients and medical fraternityand that establishing the machine in a government hospital would be highly beneficial to poor patients”.

The installation and delivery of the whole system was supported by the colleagues of VEPRO INDIA, Chennai. These colleagues are also responsible for other successfully installed projects in Bangalore, New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.

The first full cloud solution for images, film and report data is now in successful in operation in Germany.

The “Radiological Affiliated Medical Surgery” with locations in the cities of Wittlich, Daun, Zell and Bernkastel have taken the VEPRO “VHP” cloud solution into operation. The goal is to involve all referrers into the workflow to help them forwarding images and report data quickly and in addition to help to continue the development of their existing teleradiology systems. The 100%-target is achieved because now all referring physicians have full access to shared information, Mr. Lüpke CIO (Chief Information Officer) said. We are particularly proud to use the potential of e-mail and SMS communication. This saves us time-consuming phone calls.

The Markusovszky hospital of Szombathely (Hungary) has opted for the PACS and VEPROs Workflow System.

The hospital employing more than 1600 employees and offer approximately 1300 beds has opted for the VEPRO PACS and VEPRO Workflow System. The implementation and installation is now completed and the soft- and hardware solution is fully implemented. Currently the historical data of the two detached systems are transferred into the new system.

Professor Sehic promotes his book regarding newest developments in veterinary medicine using VEPRO´s EMR Manager.

Mid-march this year, Mr. Prof. Dr. Sc. Sehic, in front of leading academics and scientists of his discipline, promoted his newest book in the field of radiology veterinary medicine titled “CT diagnostic of dog skull, brain and spine pathology” at the Veterinary University of Zagreb (VEF). Prof. Sehic, the former director of the VEF founded as early as in 1919, holds the chair for veterinary medicine at this university.

The VEF comprises 14 departments and clinics and acts as a central teaching and research institution for total Croatia. His new book is Professor Sehic's 14th Publication and, like all previous ones, has been authorized as an official textbook in the Croatian universities.

The CT image reconstructions and manipulations for illustration and support, as basis for obtaining the latest scientific discoveries in the field of veterinary medicine, were carried out using VEPRO´s EMR Manager.

As part of the construction of a new private clinic in Nishni Tagil, VEPRO has been awarded with the realization and implementation of its PACS and workflow management system VIS as the leading clinical system. The Russian city of Nishni Tagil with more than 374.000 inhabitants and located nearby the city of Ekaterinburg, is one of the world's leading locations for manufacturing machinery and home to a world-renowned art academy.

In this new private clinic, VEPRO, by integrating more than 40 modalities from different disciplines, multiple surgery wards, and 29 acquisitions, diagnostic and demonstration stations as well as by the implementation a complete process management from patient registration, the recording of procedures, scheduling, diagnostic reporting and reporting clearance, will be realizing a comprehensive enterprise solution and a trend setting standard for far beyond the region.

Of course VEPRO´s implementation, be it the user interfaces or the DICOM Worklist, has been fully adapted to the Cyrillic character set.
